Join hand-stitching artist Tami Duquette (@70WestStitches) for a workshop on Japanese sashiko at Urbanrest Brewing in Ferndale. Sashiko is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching used to mend clothing, make cloths, and add interest to bags and clothing. There are many creative uses! This is a meditative art; whether you are a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for you.

Tami started taking sashiko workshops online from an expert in Japan during the pandemic. She has four years of experience learning the art and has been leading sashiko workshops in Detroit.
